TYALGUM will launch a monthly village market this Saturday, June 29th. Running from 10am-5pm, the market will showcase handmade arts and crafts from the region, with a ‘Meet the Maker’ criteria, so every stallholder will have personally handmade the items that they have on display. “Market organisers have come together with a passion to promote true handmade culture in the Tweed,” a spokesperson said. “We believe that the market will provide an opportunity for Tyalgum to celebrate community skills, craftsmanship and community spirit.” Market organisers invite everyone to come and celebrate ‘Everything Old Is New Again’ handmade culture, creativity and community at this non-profit fundraiser for Save the Tyalgum Hall fund. The organisation is a not-for-profit group, allowing all of the funds raised to support various local community projects, such as Save the Hall. The market stalls will be along Coolman St, in and among existing business premises and areas. From July, the market will include many more stallholders, classes and workshops.
